Don’t Live In Envy

Don’t live in envy. It only leads to living an unsatisfied life.

Don’t spend your life wishing for what other people have. Take control of the reins and go after what you want. Everyone has the capability of living a fulfilled and happy life.

We are all at different stages in our life. Everyone has a different set of skills, varying talents upon which to call. The difference between a successful person and someone living on the sidelines is the willingness to go full out after their dreams.

If you look at the really successful people, they didn’t magically wake up one day and were successful. They had to learn many times by trial and error. The best way to learn is by trying and failing and then trying again.

You can’t just have the ‘wishing’ for something; you must have a deep desire and the drive to match it. Many people started their dream on the side while managing a full-time job. Only once they got going could they afford to take the risk and quit their job and go full out after their dream.

It is easy to find reasons why we can’t do something. The truth is they are not reasons – they are excuses. That may sound harsh, but it is true. If you don’t know how to do something, make use of the internet and learn. You can learn after hours and obtain knowledge, so you move forward in an educated manner.

Another way is to look for a mentor. Find someone who is doing what you want and ask them to coach you. What is the worse that can happen? They say no. Most people who are doing well sincerely want to help others; to give back to help another is the best way to pay your success forward.

Another negative about envy is you spend way too much time and emotion looking over the proverbial fence. Wanting something you don’t have and longing for it without taking action, perhaps complaining because ‘life isn’t fair.’ When you do this, you lose sight of what you do have and forget to be grateful and thankful for those blessings.

Never forget that happiness is a state, and that only you can choose to be happy. Likewise, only you can take action to change your life or follow a dream. Be thankful for what you have and if you have a dream, figure out a way to chase it. Whatever you do, don’t live in envy.
