Not Everything Is Meant For You

We may think we want it all, but not everything is meant for you.

Some things are just not meant for us. They are either not safe, won’t bring joy or go against the morals of society. When we are young, we usually want what our friends have, and that is where it starts.

Wanting what others have can lead to envy and misery. You can get depressed because you don’t have what they have. Rather than thinking about what they have, shift your thinking towards what you want, and then work towards that goal.

The ‘things’ other people have, or do, can give us an idea of what we want, but it doesn’t mean we have to have it in the exact same way. Not every successful person lives the same life because they each define their success differently.

Sometimes when you go after what someone has and get it, you realize it isn’t making you happy. You can’t figure out why, but the reality is this – happiness comes from within. No matter how many things you surround yourself with, happiness is not a guarantee.

However, if you know what you want and then go after that dream, you will be fulfilled. This is when we are living our authentic lives; working towards our true purpose in life. We feel satisfied with our results, and we give 100% to the task because there is meaning to it, and we find joy.

Don’t spend time trying to live someone else’s dream. Reach out and grab your own. Take the time to figure out what you genuinely want to do, and then do it.

There is enough room in the world for us all to follow our dreams and live with passion. Do it your way and do it well and thoroughly, and you will find that can achieve your goal. Yes, it takes commitment and effort, but the results make it worth it.

Don’t spend time wanting what others have. It is a waste of energy. Always remember that not everything is meant for you.
