Walk Away

Don’t Let Others Pull You Down

When an argument begins to rise,
just walk away;
talk it out when you are calm,
control what you say.

For what you say,
can hurt or heal;
once they’re spoken,
your words are real.

You can’t take them back,
or change the past;
angry, hurtful words,
they last.

Control your anger,
control your fear;
control your actions,
when they come near.

Your words they matter,
take care in what you say;
if your temper starts to rise,
please, just walk away.
