I Ache

I ache
for unfulfilled dreams
and hopes that have died
for visions that won’t be
and tears that I’ve cried

I ache
for the one that is lost
who can’t find his way
who walks about blindly
and lives day by day

I ache
full of memories
of laughter and smiles
time together lost
separation by miles

I ache
for how it should look
a bit of normalcy
for what I don’t have
everything I want it to be

I ache
seeing others happy
in celebrations, I partake
but most of the time
inside, I just ache
