Let your inner child out, release him/her and have some fun.
We seem to forget our sense of wonder and carefree days as we age but now is the time to regain it. Now we have all the time we need and in our boredom we can give ourselves permission to unleash the child within.
Take the time to dance around, freely and joyfully. No one except perhaps close family members will see you, and you can get them to join in. Not only is it good for you, it is fun.
Pick up some coloured pencils and go to work. Make your own pictures or colour in a book. You can print some pictures in black and white and colour them in. Colouring and painting are very soothing when you don’t find fault with what your are producing and just do it, enjoying the moment.
Make some homemade play dough and morph it into shapes. It is easy to make and there is nothing like getting your hands all gooey in the process and moulding things out of your imagination.
The most fun, I find though can be found in finger painting. Lay some paper down and paint away, watching as your swirls and splashes morph into something (even if that something is indescribable). Let your emotions fly as you paint, picking colours and shapes or lines that suit your mood.
Go ahead, liberate yourself, you might just find a piece of yourself that you lost, or locked away,
There is nothing like some good old fashion fun to lift ones mood and make life just a little more bearable in these troubled times. Fun brings joy and happiness and that is at your finger tips, you just have to reach out and take it. Go ahead and release your inner child,
