Into the wind, I soar
floating freely
mist caressing skin
as I dance through fluffy clouds
I embrace the spirit within
allowing light to spill out
surrounding me as I soar
high above the crowds
I feel the call
it pulls me
to return once more
and I look down
I want to remain
soar high and free
unleashed and unburdened
yet, I feel my face frown
Slowly I shift
lowering down as I go
holding the fire within
as I descend from above
Closing my eyes
I embrace it all
the warmth of the light
and the everlasting love
Finally, I land
gravity takes hold
leaving me heavy
not wanting to rise
I gather it in
a ball of pure light
taking it with me
I open my eyes
Rising I ready
myself for the day
my burdens are lighter
and I look forward to when
I will return to the heavens
finding freedom there
knowing peace abides
here within me til then
