The Road to Peace is Love

The road to peace is love

In a world where violence seems to be escalating the response must be love. Only by love can hatred and anger be diminished fully; only light can conquer the darkness.

It is easy to lash out in anger when your temper is short. If you are sleep deprived, your temper is on a sensitive pressure wire just waiting to let go. You need patience during this time, so before responding in anger, give a few moments to try and find a way to respond with love.

When you respond in love you will feel better, and those you are in communication with will feel better. Even if someone doesn’t like the answers you provide, if it is done with love, and you explain why you are responding the way you are, they are more accepting of the answer.

If every person around the world decided that they would look at every person they meet as a brother or sister, a best friend, a confident, a loved one, then there would be more peace in this world. There would be way less violence and less killing. No one would have to stand up to another because of their race, or religion as we would all be from one family.

War begets war, a violent act is usually responded with one in kind. Hatred breeds hatred as does bigotry and racism. One person is no better than the other … ever. We are all unique and different. This makes us special, makes you special, offering the world something different, something of value. Every one of us is a thread in the loom of life, adding value and colour for an overall beautiful world.

It goes then, that if negative emotions breed negative emotions then positive ones should do the same. Love begets love, kindness and compassion given are returned in kind. Keep this in mind as you journey through your days.

The road to peace should never be through war. Approach each other with love, kindness, understanding and compassion and remember that the road to peace is love.
