I Am Fading

I am fading,
fading from your memories,
fading from your thoughts,
but never from your heart my dear.

I am gone,
you may forget at times,
but you will not forget forever,
I am imprinted on your soul my love.

I am not in sight,
yet, I am here,
you don’t recognize me,
but I, I will never leave you.

You, my darling,
are my love,
my life,
I am with you always.

So, yes I am fading,
but there will come a day,
a time,
when we are together again.

There will be joy,
and dancing,
and endless embraces,
meant for only you.

They are here waiting for you,
I am here loving you,
even though,
there, I am fading.
