Staying In Tune

Finding Peace

When we are in tune with ourselves all is right within our world, even if our world isn’t exactly alright.

It is important to stay in tune with yourself. This means looking after the vessel you abide within, mind, body and soul. We must look after ourselves or we will never truly be able to look after anyone else fully.

It is okay to eat your snacks but it must be done in balance with eating well. This feeds our bodies which keep us going and gives us the energy to do the things we each need to do. Everything in moderation has been said across the years for a reason, we all must have balance when it comes to our nutrition.

Try to at minimum walk every day to keep everything moving. Not everyone can or should exercise at great length but we must ensure we exercise to keep our movements and mobility as well as our endurance. if you can’t get up find ways to be mobile within your home by stretching, dancing, climbing up and down stairs, anything to keep those muscles moving and engaged.

Likewise we must keep our minds active and continue to learn and grow, even as we age. Things change rapidly with technology and we can either be left behind or learn and reap the benefits. Keep your mind active by reading, taking up a new hobby or learning a new language. There will always be something new we can learn and teach ourselves.

Feed your spirit, your soul, daily. Pray when you wake, thanking God for the day, even if it is just to say thanks for waking me up this morning. At the end of the day count your blessings and again say thanks but in between you can also talk with God. Share you fears, your hopes, your dreams, talk about ordinary things as if you would to a parent, after all He is the parent of us all.

When we are in tune fully with ourselves the world shines a little brighter because we ourselves are shining brighter. We feel better for it, we are happier inside and out and those we come in contact with can see it.

We are an important instrument and just like any instrument, tuning is vital to our vibration with the world; to keep emitting love and light means we all should be staying in tune.
