While my heart beats, I will love you,
regardless of pain,
or sorrow and hurt,
hurled time and again.
While my heart beats, I’ll forgive you,
for wounds that run deep;
all the hate spattered words,
I will no longer keep.
While my heart beats, I will pray,
that your light shines again;
your wounds are all healed,
and you release all your pain.
While my heart beats, I’ll keep you,
safe in my love,
and when I pass over,
I’ll still watch from above.
While my heart beats, I will love you,
as long as I can;
the babe, and the child,
the teen and the man.
While my heart beats, I will love you,
despite our defeats;
you will always be loved,
while my heart still beats.
