My heart silently weeps
for things I can’t control
loves lost
and injured along the way
It cries, quietly
letting no tears escape
holds on
with hope, for another day
My heart loves
even when bent and broken
it beats
knowing, there’s joy still to be had
It surprisingly leaps again
onto the roller coaster
still willing
understanding, that again, it will be sad
My heart sighs
with a knowingness
accepting pain
so many sorrows and stings it keeps
It loves openly
without regret or remorse
accepting all
yet, still, my heart silently weeps

Beautifully said Leslie. Mine with you.
Your heart need not cry. It is the author of your writings, and their beauty makes so mays other hearts smile.
