I Am A Beacon

I am a beacon,
trying to shine bright;
walking in shadows,
beaming my light.

Storms are raging,
yet, still, I walk through;
shining my light,
searching for you.

Though it is dark,
afraid I’ll not be;
for God is my strength,
and He stands by me.

I know you’re not ready,
try as I might;
but when you finally are,
just follow the light.

Reach out your hand,
your heart and soul;
the light shines for you,
come take a stroll.

Walk in the light,
and peace you will find;
even when times are hard,
it eases your mind.

I am a beacon,
and I shine just for you;
in the storms and the shadows,
to help you get through.

Come take my hand,
walk awhile with me;
embrace the spirit light,
and set yourself free.

Unbind your chains,
leave your hurts on the floor;
walk out of your cell,
be a prisoner no more.

Walk in the light,
that’s where you’ll find me;
where you’ll find yourself,
and finally, be free.

Free from your sorrows,
and free from your pain;
a walk in the light,
renews you again.

Yes, there will be sad times,
and sorrow still comes;
but Gods healing spirit,
is a beacon of drums.

He beats back the darkness,
and reminds each of us;
that we are children of light,
and that’s a big plus.

For it comes with His love,
and He shines it for all;
no matter how big,
no matter how small.

So I’ll shine out my light,
so bright and so warm;
be a beacon for you,
when you’re lost in the storm.
