We can surpass people on our own as we rise. There is no need for us to climb over others.
I grew up thinking that in order to reach the top, you had to claw your way there. For a woman, the struggle is definitely more challenging, even now. It has gotten easier because of those who have gone before, but there are still hurdles to be jumped at times.
We often have to work harder and smarter, but never is there a reason to trash somebody along the way or push them down as you climb, even if they have pushed us first.
We rise above and move ahead because we are meant to and because we prove ourselves. It is our hard work and effort that allows us to rise and meet our dreams.
Climbing over others usually infers that you have to push them down to keep going. We are meant to lift others up as we ourselves rise. When we push others down for our own gain, we shine less brightly, and there is an ugly undercurrent that flows through our success.
This doesn’t mean you can’t surpass someone. The race occurs, and we are allowed to surge ahead of others (we just are not allowed to trip them as we go).
Show you have what it takes by being and doing your best. Shine even when you don’t feel like it. Groom and nurture your knowledge and skills until you are the very best at what you do and then run your race.
Let others who can help you, or mentor you, know your intent along the way. They can help you avoid pitfalls that might trip you up on your rise towards success. It is easier to learn from the mistakes of others before encountering them ourselves.
When we are in tune with ourselves and our spirit, there is no need to climb over someone to get where we are going. You can do it if you put the effort in and your passion behind it.
When you have passion and integrity coupled with hard work going for you, your rise will be triumphant. There is no need to climbs over others.
