You Are The ‘What’

I am empty,
drained,
sitting here waiting,
for something,
for what?

I am tired,
depleted,
trying to gather strength,
for something,
but what?

I am lost,
blinded,
trying to find my way,
towards something,
towards what?

I am hungry,
thirsty,
longing for something,
but what?

You,
you are the reason,
for the sorrow,
the tears,
you are the ‘what’.

You,
you are the laughter,
the love,
the joy,
that is the ‘what’.

You,
you are the place I lose myself,
and find myself,
my heart, the ‘where’,
your love, the ‘what’.

Always you,
you,
who never leaves my side,
my thoughts,
my prayers.

Always you,
you,
who is there,
listening,
loving,
forgiving.

You,
you are the how,
the when,
the why.

You,
you,
always you,
you, are the ‘what.
