Leave your burdens at the door my children. Come, rest a while in me and you can find peace.
Relax and be at ease of spirit, I will watch over you when you are tired, and weak. I will shelter you when you are afraid. Leave your fears at my feet, I will take care of them.
When you leave your burdens at my door and come to spend time with me, you are no longer distracted by external things. You come free of the things that weigh you down … empty handed, full of love and longing; an empty vessel waiting to be filled. I am here to receive you, to love you and to give you purpose.
Your burdens will wait while we visit, and, you may be surprised that when you go to pick them up again they are not as heavy as they were when you arrived. I took some from you, they are no longer yours to worry and fret over. I can handle all your burdens my children, if you trust me. All you need to do is leave them at my door.
Come sit with me my children, talk with me, rejoice in me. Let’s spend meaningful time together. Trust in me, I am here, it’s okay, you can leave your burdens at the door.
