Your heart and mine, joined together,
loving right from the start;
Intertwined, I lace in between,
the fibres of your heart.
Tightly bound to one another,
yet, separate too it seems;
on the days I cannot meet you,
I find you in my dreams.
You lift me up; I do the same,
we give, we do not take;
yet always we receive the love,
a love we cannot fake.
If someone said you’d love like this,
I’d say it is not true;
I did not believe in pure love,
not until I met you.
You make me smile every day,
and yes, sometimes we cry;
but we do both together love,
and will until we die.
An everlasting love like this,
I thought I’d never find;
one crossing time, that knows no end,
Lasting and intertwined.
So if the times comes and we part,
I’ll know it’s not the end;
I’ll meet you at that golden place,
where earth and heaven blend.
