Step Out From Shadows

Wandering alone,
I see you
amongst the shadows
striving to disappear.

Fear not
I hear you,
and will ease you back
gently into the light.

No sheep shall stray
too far for me;
I am the shepherd
leading you home.

Behold the light,
it shines for you;
embrace the destiny
stitched in your soul.

You are a light
meant to shine;
a chosen way-finder
to guide the lost.

Let go the reins
that cut your skin,
and chafe your soul
with bitterness.

Release your anger;
wash clean the abrasions
with forgiveness, and love,
lest thee fade away.

Own your struggles,
they strengthen you,
that you may understand
renewals’ sweet joy.

For it is an empty heart
that hates and betrays,
living in regretful remorse
without room for light.

Step out of shadows
veiled in dark,
and be seen
in the glory of light.

Bathe in the luminescence
of loves joy,
and hopes light,
live once more.
