The darkness surrounds me,
but I fear not
for I am not alone.
My soul moves
with the rhythm of the universe;
swaying,
growing,
glowing.
‘Come,’ it whispers
‘step out,
leave the darkness,
join them;
the angels,
singing and shining
in all their glory’.
I see the light,
reaching out
attempting to join mine;
all the lightworkers,
earth angels,
swaying,
growing,
glowing.
The darkness pulls
‘Do not leave
stay in the shadows;
you are safe here
where no one can reach you,
see you,
touch you.’
I am not bothered
by the darkness
and I heed not the call;
I am a child of God
and my spirit soars,
swaying,
growing,
glowing.
I turn to the darkness
and sigh;
sorrow still heavy on my heart,
for many are lost,
trapped,
alone,
struggling to find their light.
I extend an arm,
reaching,
offering,
hoping;
alas, they are not ready,
all I can do is wait
and pray.
‘Dear Lord
hear my prayer;
help them shine,
connect them to their soul
shine until they too are
swaying,
growing,
glowing.’
I sit and wait
until that day;
when the earth is one,
swaying,
growing,
glowing
and everyone is
stepping into the light.
