I Watched You

I watched you
as you silently fell;
a lonely drop
into a pool of sorrows.

I pondered
on how you stored
massive emotions
in just a single tear.

I expected
to hold my pain,
yet you gathered
them into your fold.

I marvelled
at the freedom
you offered
with each new release.

I smiled
as weight lifted,
even if
just for a little while.

You are sorrow,
encased in a blessing;
I did not know
until I watched you.
