It is easy at times to let our fears prevent us from moving forward; sometimes so much so that we cannot leave the house or answer the phone. When we live in fear though, we are choosing to give away our joy. I say this because it is a choice we make. We choose to be afraid rather than confront our fear.
Sometimes a shadow is only a shadow and when you shine light toward the darkness the shadow cannot exist. Likewise, when you shine a light on your fear and understand it for what it is, it loses its power on you. The fear will grow smaller and often disappear.
Psalm 118:6
The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
