God, I feel so empty; please fill my cup.
My child, you need only to fill the void with love.
If you find yourself empty, you have many ways to refill your cup. The way to me is through love. This is the easiest way to fill your cup. By loving and serving others and in your love for me, you will be replenished.
As you love, so are you loved. Find the lost and lonely and love them without condition. It is in loving that your light shines, in serving that your heart expands.
Give of yourself, and you will not be depleted. Rest when needed and restore yourself and then give again. When you serve those in need, you will be tended to in return. Your life will be reflected back at you, and your deeds multiplied tenfold.
Nourish and cleanse your mind as well as your body. Keep a pure heart with pure thoughts. Purge darkness from the recesses of your mind and commit to doing and trying better every day.
Your body is a vessel that houses your light, your spirit. Tend this vessel always, and it will serve you well. Know that you carry me within you; a chalice of love encased in the light of the spirit. Nurture and feed your vessel.
Another way to fill your cup is through daily devotion, spending time in conversation with me. Prayer is a conversation between the two of us. It is through prayer and time together that you are drawn closer and given clarity.
When you pray, do so with thanksgiving and faith. Trust that you will get the answer you need. Not always will you get the response you want, but I will always answer you.
Prayer, when done faithfully, is not a repetition. It is a communion with me. A covenant that strengthens your spirit, your light and brings you closer to me. It brings peace to a restless soul.
Listen with your spirit, and you will hear me. I am never far nor silent, and I am always accessible. I will fill your cup with love and light if you let me and trust me to do so.
Look not to material things to fill your void. Material things do not sate the soul. They bring temporary joy but never is it lasting. Love alone will fill the void, the love for others and the love I have for you.
Always and ever, you are mine and you are loved. Never forget, my child, that when you are empty, you can reach out and fill the void with love.

Especially true for those of us who are searching for that ‘thing’ that will never satisfy.
