Count Your Blessings

Stay in the light

Count your blessings my children, for they are many.

Many gifts have been given unto you children, yet many are still taking them for granted. Some of you have forgotten what gifts you have and as a result are sad, depressed, lonely and occasionally bitter.

Though the world may be in turmoil and the enemy at work, I am still present. There are signs of my love everywhere. In the volunteers running into buildings to rescue others with little thought for themselves, or those sheltering the lost and forgotten children. Others, feeding and working with the poor and inflicted. So many of my children giving of themselves, daily, to help another. They are a blessing for the world and they are blessed in return.

You child, are alive. Your heart is beating and sustaining you. The physical one keeping you alive, the figurative one allowing you to love purely and freely.

So many of my children have less than you do, and yet, they are more grateful. They take pleasure in the simplest of things. The birds singing, the smell of leaves as they walk through a fall forest. There is beauty in the sunrise and the sunset. Beauty in the heavens where the clouds form and the stars shine.

Do not focus on what you do not have children, it will put you in a state of always wanting. Focus, rather on what you do have, on what you can give to the world. These are your blessings.

You woke up today, this is a blessing. As you are reading this, again you are blessed with sight and understanding. If you contemplate what you read, you are blessed with a functioning mind.

Some of you have shelter and food. This is more than others have. Share your blessings with others so they, in turn, can be blessed. Blessings are not to be found in material things, these do not last. Material blessings may make life easier, but no true blessing can be found if you do not share it with others.

Promise me children that you will not take your life for granted. Live with purpose. Be giving and loving, kind and compassionate. Let your Spirit shine for all the world to see.

Those who house a grateful heart can easily see their blessings. If you do not see, or know your blessings, set some time aside my children. Never forget to count your blessings.
