Your Time Is Precious

Your time is precious. Don’t waste it on someone who doesn’t value or care about you.

Spend time with people who love you. Those are the ones who will value you. They will support you and cheer you on in the background throughout your journey and help you to stand when you stumble or fall.

Your time is valuable. So much of our time is spent working, or perhaps going to school, maybe raising children, the list goes on. When you have free time, you shouldn’t waste it with someone who does not value you. These people only bring you down, instead of propping you up.

People who do not value you, often will put you down, trying to belittle you, while boosting themselves up. In reality it is a form of bullying and it wears at your self worth.

When we are confident and secure in the knowledge of who we are, we can see through people who are superficial. This is when you have the choice to say that your time is worth more than spending it with ones who don’t matter. This allows you to say no to those who don’t value you or your time.

Saying no to someone, when for the right reason, is never hurtful. It is you protecting your time and making yourself available to those who love you. It is you valuing yourself enough to care about how your time is spent.

You are important and beautiful, with unique talents all your own. It is important that you see yourself this way and believe it. Know that you are worthy of love.

The next time someone asks you to do something, or go somewhere you need to ask yourself if it is a good use of your time. Are they someone you care about and who cares about you? Is your relationship a two way street (ie you are there for them and they are there for you)?

Doing for others is a wonderful thing. The challenge is knowing when someone is using you versus valuing you. Keep this in mind and never forget that your time is precious.
