Whatever you set out to do today, do it with purpose and from the Spirit.
Every choice you make, every action you take, do it with purpose. Know the desired outcome and then go ahead and do it. So what does this really mean, to live with purpose?
Living with purpose means that you are conscious of all the choices you make and that you commit to them fully. You don’t give half an attempt, or part of yourself to the task, you give your entire focus at that point in time. You do things with intention.
Everything should be done with purpose. It may be that you have specific activities to complete throughout your day, or you want to relax and read a good book. Each of these can be done fully and wholly.
Don’t be unrealistic, you can’t have an unreasonable amount of things to do, but you can do many things with purpose. If I set out to work on one of my books and don’t give it my entire focus, the result would be a poor book for you and I would not find satisfaction in my writing. If however, I completely lose myself for a short while to the writing, committing myself to it, so I can focus, the results are much better. They are more complete and more satisfying, for both myself and my readers. I know what and how much I want to write and focus on that task.
If I want a day of leisure, I can do that with purpose as well. I can remove all distractions so I can truly relax. I can let my family know that I’m taking a little ‘me’ time so I can be better for them. Then I do what it is I want to do, and I enjoy it thoroughly, without guilt.
Living life with purpose, also allows us to be there for other people. We are authentic and real in our relationships. We are friends who want what is best for each other and would do anything for one another. It also means we help others without wanting anything in return. We are focused on them and their needs, not ours.
You can also love with purpose. Give your heart, openly and freely. Yes, this means that our hearts are out there, and on the line, and there is some risk to that. Sometimes, we will get hurt by others. That doesn’t mean we should stop loving. I’m not saying put yourself in bad situations, but rather, look at others with eyes of love and see them, accept them, for who they are.
It is also true that there are distractions that try and pull us away, things do come up that may need our immediate attention. When this happens, if we need to step away, we change gears as needed, and give whatever it is our complete focus, hopefully resolving whatever it is quickly and completely so we can get back to what we were doing.
Everything in life can, and should, be done with purpose. Whatever you set out to do today, this week, next month, do it with purpose.
Truly inspiring one……….https://sheetaluwach.com/
