Be Still

Be still my children. You are rushing around, all the time from one thing to the next. You cannot hear me when you are so busy doing everything else.

You seem restless, as if you cannot sit still and enjoy the beauty of what is around you; the glory of all things I have provided for you. Sit awhile and enjoy the beauty of this world.

When you are still my children you will find your center and can communicate with me. I hear you at all times, but, when you are rushing and busy you do not hear me. I want you to hear me my children, I want to spend time with you.

Be still child and I will be in your presence; I am all living things around you. Be still and watch for me, listen for me. I am the child that laughs in the sprinklers, I am the smile on an old woman’s face, I am the gentle breeze that caresses your face, I am the tired soul living homeless on the streets, I am in the hug you receive from a friend or parent, I am everywhere, in all things.

Life is hectic and it will overwhelm you if you don’t take time every day to be still. Shut out the noise around you and listen to what is inside your heart, your soul. The spirit will guide you as you journey towards your center to find peace.

Find me my children, I am here, but you will find me quicker if you can just be still.
