Plant the Seed of Love and Watch it Grow

When we plant a seed in the soil we must have patience. We nurture it, water it, and sit back and let the warmth and sunshine do the rest. After a time the seed will start to grow. We prune it, sometimes feed it and continue to water, all the while having patience, knowing that when the plant is fully grown it will be beautiful.

Everyone is like that. Not everyone is ready for the words you have to say but they do hear them. Sometimes we have to repeat and encourage, other times lead by example, but ultimately we must sit back, watch and wait. Eventually the seed you planted will begin to sprout and you will know it is time to water. Again, you will sit back and let God do the work, after all, his is the warm light by which we all grow.

You may not know it but every day you are a sower of seeds. You plant ideas and beliefs within your children, your family and your friends. We all help each other grow and bloom. If we did not, we would stagnate and wither away.

Like anything you must watch your words and actions so as not to plant weeds within your garden. Just as easy as it is to plant flowers with acts of compassion, kindness and love, so too is it easy to plant weeds with words of hate, discouragement and anger.

So what are you waiting for? Plant the seed of love and watch it grow.
