If heaven were closed for a day, what would you do?
Would you lose all hope, or would you even care? Yet, what if it were true?
I know what I would do. I’d kneel, bow my head, and pray, making sure God knows just how much I care. Sadness would try to envelop me, but I’d trust in the Lord.
I’d tell God the world needs him, and ask him not to give up on us. Many have strayed, but many remain steadfast in their faith and love. I’d ask for his forgiveness and plead for him to stay. “Remember the promise made long ago. Forget not your children; don’t let them go. The world will fall apart. Everything will be in ruins, everyone in dismay.” Those are the words I’d utter.
I expect non-believers would smile, nothing further to say. Point proven. Yet, they’d be wrong.
This might as well be a dream. Fear not. His is the promise that forever stands. You see, we are all carved in the palm of His hand. It would be impossible for him to forget even one.
So, heaven will not close, not for even one second. His love is eternal. To you, He has beckoned. To you, He calls. “Come back to me.”
If you don’t believe what I say is true, remember these words – ‘Knock and it shall be opened unto you’. He is with you. He loves you. Heaven awaits. God’s love is eternal.
