Just like the waters of the ocean, may your faith run deep. May it ride the storms, the calm, and gently roll with the soft warm breeze.
Many people have asked me ‘how can you believe’ and the best answer to this that I have ever heard is ‘how can you not?’ I love that answer because it is exactly how I feel. How can people not believe in lifes miracle and the beauty that surround us everyday? I cannot imagine a world, my world, without faith in it. It would be bleak and hopeless, I prefer beautiful and hopeful.
Faith is what makes me strong when I feel weak, guides me when I am lost and holds me up when I believe I can no longer stand on my own. I cannot imagine my life without God in it everyday.
There are sharks, fish, whales and other aquatic animals under the ocean. We do not see them, but we know they are out there, under the water … somewhere. Why do we know this? Many have not been to the ocean but they have heard stories, seen pictures and read about them in a book. We believe they are there because we have been told they are there. Yes, many of these things are also food but there are many types of fish in the ocean we have heard about that are not seen by us, touched by us or tasted by us, and we believe they are there, swimming deep beneath the water.
Why then can one not believe that God is there? Many people have shared their real life experiences, written them down in books and God has been shown in many different ways in many different movies. Are that many people lying? I do not believe so. Why is belief in him so hard when we believe so many other things without ever seeing.
Many people believe and live in a area of the world where believing such thing can get them killed, and yet, they know God and their faith runs deep.
I have seen and experienced many things in my life and I know for a fact that God exists. I feel Gods presence everywhere, everyday. My faith is a part of me, intertwined into my very existence.
No matter what you believe, I love you. I hope that if you don’t yet know God you will come to know him, and if you do that you find as much joy in God as I do.
Like the waters in the ocean, may your faith run deep.
