If you remember only one thing today, remember this, it is always now.
We can remember the past. It is there for us to cherish and to teach. The past gives us examples of all the good things but it also holds lessons from all the wrong things.
The future is something we can only dream about. We cannot dwell there. Even if you were to discover time travel and flew to the future, you could not live there. Once you arrived, it would be your ‘now.’
It is always now. This is where we live, where we plan and where we affect change. Whatever you may have decided a few moments ago is in the past. It may have held a lesson or given you something to contemplate in your current ‘now’ moment, but it is gone.
Take a moment and enjoy the simple fact that life is happening for you now, at this very point in time. It is always now and, you can choose to change direction at any time.
In the present, your current ‘now’ moment, we can plan for your future moments, but you will only experience them now. Yes, I may have an appointment tomorrow that I booked a week ago, but it does not affect me until it occurs. I don’t experience it until I reach that now. I am only aware of it if I think about it in the moment. Otherwise, it is just data stored in my brain,
The future is something we can dream about, but it is never a place we can dwell. Even if you were to discover time travel and flew to the future, you could not live there because once you arrived, it would be your new ‘now.’
All my experiences, my happiness and sorrow unfold in the present moments. I gain knowledge that I carry with me, but the decisions I make, I always make in the present.
It is always my choice how to live in my present moments. It is always ‘now,’ and I can carry sadness and worry around like a dead-weighted sack, or I can be joyful and see the beauty that surrounds me.
As I sit here writing, these birds have flown by, and I took a few minutes to enjoy them and listen. I experienced those moments, and now I continue writing. I chose how I spent my moments that are now in the past.
You can choose how to live, and you can effect change from where you are. Enjoy your joyful memories, learn your lessons from the past, take action in the present to set up your future ‘now’ moments.
Thank you for sharing your ‘now’ moments with me today. Enjoy all the ones to come and never forget that it is always now.
