No matter how down you get, remember that someone loves you infinitely. This never changes.
Sometimes we find ourselves saddened by our circumstances, so much so that we become depressed. It is during this time that you must remember that you are loved. There are people who love you on this planet. Don’t give up and don’t give into your sadness.
Sadness is temporary, love is permanent. Even those that have hurt you are still loved. If they weren’t you wouldn’t be sad. Don’t give up on them. If you have had to walk away, that doesn’t mean you didn’t love. Hold onto the happy times and let go of the rest.
The most important love is the love of God. It is never fleeting and it is infinite. God loved you before you were born and will love you long after you’re gone from this world. His love will never change because you made a mistake; God knows your heart.
If you are sad and feeling unloved, look up and open yourself to Gods’ love. Feel yourself surrounded by His warm loving light, as if you were wrapped in sunshine. Embrace that feeling and draw strength in it.
When you remember that you are loved infinitely it makes the struggles a little easier to bear. Sometimes the struggle is a God saying ‘I love you, and I’m helping you to grow into who you were meant to be’. We don’t always see it that way but I believe everything happens for a reason.
There are many kinds of love. The love from your parents is unconditional, although for some this is lacking. Friendship brings a different kind of love to your heart, never discount it. The love of a partner is yet another. This kind of love can be fleeting if not true.
Don’t mistake sex for love, they are very different things. Physical pleasure does not last and is temporary. True love, that grows often out of friendship into something deeper, is lasting.
While love can be lost, or a loved one dies, our hearts do not stop loving in the absence of the person. We are saddened by their absence but we still feel love. Don’t get lost in the loss, rather take joy in the love that was.
