It doesn’t matter where you are on your journey. All roads lead here.
Everything that has happened, every choice you have made, has brought you to this moment. This is because we are what we have lived. All roads lead here, and only you can decide where and how your journey will continue.
Not everyone will read this post. Their journey has taken them down a different road, but yours has brought you here, to me. For whatever reason, we are together for a little while, at least.
We can use the experience, whether positive or negative, to propel us forward toward the life we wish for ourselves. Sometimes, it means walking away. Other times it means continuing on. The choice is always ours. I hope you’ll walk awhile with me.
Know that each of us has a unique destination, a purpose propelled by talents given unto us. How we use the skills and gifts we are given is always up to us.
While it is true there may be a few things I would have liked to change along my journey, I’m not sure I would. Each experience, good and bad, has built me into the person I am. I like that girl, so I’m not sure I would go back and do it differently.
Could I erase the pain that taught me just how much I loved someone? Yes, but perhaps that person would not have come into my life. I would have missed the joy and love I experienced with them, and honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for the world, no matter how painful it may be now.
Perhaps if I could change something, I would tell the girl of my past that she is beautiful and worthy of love. I would tell her to listen to her spirit rather than the voices of unhappy people.
Maybe if that had occurred, I would have arrived at this spot in my journey sooner. If that had happened, though, there would be experiences I would have missed, and those held some key learnings and growth that was required. I don’t think I’d be the same person if I tweaked my past to suit my wants and desires.
No, I would not change the past, no matter how painful and hurtful it has been at times. My past built me and led me here, to you. It created a person willing to share her talents and experiences freely and fully. It also gave and continues to provide me with wonderful friends and family.
Our journey does not end here. We continue on, forward to a new destination. We will continue to grow and become wiser. Each of us having an opportunity to change course at any time.
When we stray and walk into a forest of darkness, we can turn and walk out of that same forest. We can walk away from the negative and toward the positive. There is always a path that leads to love and happiness available to us.
Even death does not stop the journey. We continue on until we reach the final destination. Once there, I hope we will all meet and shine forever.
Remember, it doesn’t matter where you have been or how long you have travelled. Your steps have carried you this far. They have built you and made you into the person you are in this moment.
Through your journey, you have travelled along many different paths. Never forget that you are where you are meant to be in this moment. Why? Well, because all roads lead here.
