In the quiet of the night,
I hear you calling;
like a whisper on the wind,
or the rain, gently falling.
In the beating of my heart,
I feel your presence;
a tingling of the soul,
an effervescence.
In the turmoil of mind,
I find your brilliance;
like a brightly shining star,
off in the distance.
You are in the air,
and all around;
just waiting to be noticed,
yearning to be found.
When I lay awake and cry,
well, actually bawling;
missing you, even then,
I hear you calling.
