You Are Not a Statistic

Everyone is unique and talented. You are not a statistic.

You are only a statistic if you choose to be. We each have unlimited potential. Most people have not tapped into their personal power. This doesn’t mean life is easy, it can be challenging, but you have control over your life.

You decide how you are defined. It is in what you do and how you act every minute of every day. Each day you have the choice to live your authentic life; use your God-given talents for the betterment of this world.

The problem that many people have is they believe they are not worthy of true happiness and stability. They continue to make choices that affirm their belief rather than make choices to prove themselves wrong. This becomes a lifestyle drenched in self-limiting beliefs rather than blessed with joy, peace and happiness.

First, you must stop thinking that you are not worth it. You are! Tell yourself that you are worth it every day until you believe it. You must believe in yourself if you are going to succeed.

Second, you need to understand that there will be ‘no’s’ and failures along the way. That is okay. When you get a ‘no’ realize that it is not your loss, it is the other person’s. If you fail, learn the lesson in the failure and move on.

Failure is just an opportunity for growth and improvement. Once we understand what not to do, we begin to see what we need to do to succeed. We adjust and tweak until our goal is achievable.

You must also allow others to help you. Nothing is achieved solely on our own. Others will help, teach, advise and provide feedback. Each one is needed at different times. Be open to help.

Lastly, you must be willing to help others. There is no greater deed than that done in service to another. If you can find a way to do what you love and serve others at the same time, you cannot help but be successful and happy.

Success isn’t measured by wealth, despite what the elite of the world may say. It is measured in how many people you have had a direct, positive impact upon. This doesn’t mean you can’t make money in the process, but wealth shouldn’t be your primary focus.

When you believe in yourself and use your talents as they were meant to be used, you cannot help but be happy and at peace. You are unique and have a lot to offer this world. Believe that and never forget that you are not a statistic.
